We hear this word a lot, but what does it really mean?

The most in depth, but understandable definition I could find was: a mental state achieved by focusing one’s awareness on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting one’s feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations.

Simple right? Well not at first, especially if you’ve never tried it. For most of us, to focus on the here and now is a very big challenge we face. As a person that struggles with keeping my thoughts in order, mindfulness seemed impossible.

Luckily, nothing is impossible.
